No one person has influenced me or has a hold over my psyche, except for the Holy Spirit and people I know who walk the talk and live what they believe in Christ. I will always have my faults, questions, regrets, but when death comes I will stand before God to give an account for what I did with my life. There is not enough praise in the English language to express how glad I am to the All Mighty God for sending Jesus to bail me out. He is my lawyer who paid (by His blood and life) for my past, present and future sins. God will see me as righteous because of what Jesus did at the cross not because of anything ever done by me. I am a sinner saved by grace. I know you have no clue to what this all means, to get understanding, you have to study scriptures (Holy Bible). Even though it was written over a period of 1500 years by 40 different authors and walks of life, who were moved by the spirit of God, the relevancy is still accurate to this day.
Many years I witnessed to you about this truth. You ridiculed not only me, but dismissed the bible as myth, written by man. Yes, written down by man, but, inspired by the Holy spirit. There is a big difference. No one can get understanding from the scriptures until they actually invite Christ in their heart and are filled with the Holy Spirit. It’s a lifetime of learning and studying. Many people take phrases out of scripture and interpret it to mean what they want. A big problem with so many preachers misleading people (not only preachers), and will be held accountable. Of course, there are those who’s intentions to disprove the claims of the bible are not correct, either. A harsher judgement awaits them.
As Jesus said, quoted by His disciple Matthew, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? “For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS. There is no condemnation to those who believe and put their trust in Him. But, for all disbelievers, a place called hell; A place prepared for Satan and his demons, not for man. The reason people go there is because of their unbelief that God (so loved the world) sent Jesus into the world to save them from their sin. Jesus said there would be wailing and gnashing of teeth in that place. A place of torment and separation from God. That is terrifying. It is written.
People choose to ignore the warnings from Christians who witness about heaven and hell. Some typical arguments: there are many ways to God! No, Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me”! I’m a good person God knows my heart. Jesus said, “only God is good!” Being good doesn’t earn your way into heaven. Others turn away from God preferring to be their own god in rebellion, no accountability.
Then there are the haters of God that deny His existence turning to atheism because of some misfortune in their life. Always questioning, “where was God? Where is God when innocent children are murdered? Why do good people get killed by no fault of their own (being in the wrong place at the wrong time)”? Further rationalization is, “if there is a God, how can a loving God let sickness and disease happen”. (We live in a fallen world from Adam and Eve’s sin.)
There are misguided people being influenced by the evil one that engage in murder. They do evil without fear of consequence. There are many explanations why, seeming, healthy people get sick and die. There are scientific explanations why young people are born with a rare gene that leads to disease and die, draw of the luck, as the world sees it. In this world you will have tribulation. It’s inevitable. God is still God! whether you believe or not. On and on the debate goes… Oh! I forgot… evolution. Astrophysicist Hugh Ross, reasons.org has plenty of explanations for that. There will always be debates. God has an open door for every person on earth and it’s how you respond to His invitation.
One either believes or refuses no matter what. My question is, “who do people think they are to tell God how to run His creation”? People put God in a box and treat Him like a genie. When they don’t get what they want, in retaliation, they simply reason away He exists and kick him to the curb. God will not force Himself on anyone. That’s why there is freedom of choice, obey His way or rebel. Incredible. People always choose their own destination. Heaven or Hell- no in-between!
If people would only turn from their stubborn selfish ways and believe- trusting what God did (sent His only son into a corrupt world to die and pay for their sin, His free gift to all mankind) and stop hating and blaming, get understanding: His ways, His expectations for living, they will get a better grasp why crap happens in this world. I have a fear that it may not happen with you Fred and that terrifies me. If your heart has become so hardened there may be no hope for you.
My hope will always be that the heavenly Father would grant repentance to you and you would turn and believe that God so loved the world that He sent Jesus to pay for your sins (nailing them to the cross) before that terrible day comes. Believe that He died was buried and resurrected on the third day as eye witnesses wrote about. Yet, for some reason or another scores of people think after death they will somehow get into heaven without believing in Jesus and scores of others believe you just die- no after life. The scripture says, “it was appointed for man to die once, then judgement”! Myriads will always choose to be rebellious and say no to the free gift and parish.
God is sovereign. He is loving and compassionate to people who love Him. Jesus said, “He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me; and he who loves Me shall be loved by My father, and I will love him, and will disclose Myself to him.” …continued in Truth -3
